How to figure out whether UV ink is fully cured by UV lamp

How to figure out whether UV ink is fully cured by UV lamp.

There are mainly 4 methods to see whether UV ink printed by UV flatbed inkjet printer is fully cured by UV lamp. Sometimes, when you check the surface of ink with naked eye, it seems the ink is cured, well it is actually not. In this case, professional method would be necessary (only limited to UV ink).(All Model Flatbed UV Printer Video).

1. Pencil Hardness Test. By testing with a pencil hardness meter, request satisfied (normally -h) means UV ink is fully cured. Request not satisfied means you need to  weigh and consider time and UV lamp power, as well as other factors like mesh belt transmission speed of UV curing machine.

2. Test with Acrylic Solution. Drop some acrylic solution on the surface of printing. If changes occur several minutes later, the ink is not fully cured. Note: after UV ink is fully cured, its internal molecular structure will change to double bonds. Higher transmission ratio, higher curing degree. After transmission, the UV ink will form a firm layer of coating.

3. Pressure check. Put a little silk or cotton fiber on the surface of the product, put a weight with flat bottom on the fiber for several minutes, and then remove the weight. If the cottom or silk fiber is not sticked to product surface, UV ink is fully cured. Otherwise, it is not.

4. Surface appearance. Surface of fully cured UV ink is bright, no shadow on the edges.
